CrowdStrike is officially down and affecting Microsoft Windows hosts, causing global outages for airlines, banks and more on Friday morning.

CrowdStrike President and CEO George Kurtz took to X, formerly Twitter, to shed some light on the issues, saying they're not the result of a cyberattack or a security incident.

Traveling headaches might await those looking to fly out of Indianapolis today, due to the tech outage.

Operators of Indianapolis International Airport couldn’t say how many flights there are impacted but recommended would-be flyers check with their airline before heading for the airport.

“The understanding is that airlines all around the world are being impacted by this. From the airport standpoint, it’s obviously going to affect travelers’ flights this morning; so we're asking them to please check with their airlines and the status of their flights before they leave to come to the airport,” said Stephanie McFarland, a spokeswoman for Indianapolis International Airport.
